SUMMARY:A Love Letter To Handsome John (film screening)
DESCRIPTION:A Love Letter To Handsome John\nDirector: Otis Gibbs\nRun Time: 54 min.\n  \nWe are partnering with the West Virginia International Film Festival to present A Love Letter To Handsome John at the Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema in Charleston\, WV on May 7 & 14. This independent 30-seat jewel box theater is located below Taylor Books and screens foreign\, local\, documentary\, and indie films. \n  \nTickets: $12\nGo to wviff.org to purchase tickets (student tickets $7) \n  \n \n  \nABOUT THE FILM\nThis film is an intimate portrait of Todd Snider in the last year of his life. What starts as a film about gratitude\, and a way to say thank you to John Prine\, becomes a rare glimpse of the artist at home in his most quiet moments. \n*A Love Letter To Handsome John is currently screening in multiple theaters across the U.S. This is a DIY\, independent film and the screenings are coming to life through the incredible efforts of fans and community theaters. We are winding down our outreach to theaters so we can focus on supporting the screenings already in place. None of this would have been possible without you and the power of the people. \nOutside of a few key markets\, including Memphis\, that we are still working on\, we will not be adding any new cities. We will keep the form link at the bottom of this page so you still have a way to reach us. \nAt some point this Summer\, the film will be available to the public. Otis’s Patreon supporters will have the first opportunity to view the film. Shortly after\, the film will be released to everyone for free through his YouTube channel. \nClick here for more info
